Arrest made in burglary at Franklin Co. Humane Society

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Frankfort make an arrest in a burglary at the Franklin County Humane Society but say more arrests are likely to come.

Police took 24-year-old Jacob West, of Frankfort, into custody and charged him in connection with the burglary that took place at the Franklin County Humane Society last Wednesday.

The window was broken out of the facility and a small amount of cash was taken. It was the second burglary in two weeks at the Franklin County Humane Society.

Last Wednesday, the VFW in Frankfort was also broken into and several bottles of alcohol were taken.

Frankfort police did not say if they believe West is tied to the other burglaries.

They say they do expect to make a few more arrests in connection to the case and several other recent commercial burglaries in Frankfort.
