Arrest after large meth lab found in Knox Co.
ARTEMUS, Ky. (WTVQ) – Deputies arrested a man after discovering a large meth lab at a home on John Carter Road.
The Knox Co. Sheriff says a deputy received a tip about the lab, and went to investigate. When the deputy got to the home, the Sheriff says he found an active one-step meth lab in a two-liter bottle. The lab was found in a camper near the home, along with meth precursors, spoons, syringes, as well as plastic bags of suspected meth on a plate, according to the Sheriff.
The Sheriff says the lab is the largest he’s seized since becoming Knox Co. Sheriff.
34-year-old Ledford Hamilton III of Artemus was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of methamphetamine precursors and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hamilton was already wanted on a Knox Co. warrant for failure to appear on possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was taken to the Knox County Detention Center.
