Another Lexington Courtyard Marriott Robbed This Week

According to Lexington Police, another Courtyard Marriott has been robbed. This makes the second time the chain has been hit in under a week.

Investigators believe the same suspect may be responsible for both robberies.

Officers said the Marriott off of Newtown Pike was the target Thursday night.

According to police, a man wearing a Halloween mask walked into the lobby shortly after 11, implied he was armed and then demanded cash.

They said he took off after getting money from the two clerks and then escaped through a side door, where he may have had a car waiting for him.

Officials said this robbery was nearly identical to one that occurred at the Courtyard Marriott on Harrodsburg Road just two days earlier.

An investigation into both cases is underway.
