Another arrest made in downtown Lexington New Year’s Day shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Another person has been arrested in connection to a shooting that happened in downtown Lexington on New Year’s Day. Now, police are looking for a third suspect.

Jonneisheia Lewis was charged with wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and discharging a firearm in city limits.

Detectives are also asking for help finding Lavonne Smith.

Smith has an active warrant for possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Monteza Long was the first person arrested in connection to this shooting on Jan. 1.

She’s charged with wanton endangerment and discharging a firearm in city limits.

The shooting happened in the 100 block of West Main Street around 2 a.m. New Year’s Day.
