Another $1 Million Lottery Ticket Sold in “Lucky” Lexington

A second lottery ticket worth $1 million was sold in Lexington over the weekend, just three days after another winning sale.

Saturday’s $1 million winner matched the first five out of six numbers in the Powerball’s $70 million drawing: 28, 32, 35, 36, and 52. The Powerball was 31.

The ticket was sold at Blue Sky Marathon on Clays Mill Road, which will receive $10,000 for making the sale.

However, since the Powerball had no first prize winner, Wednesday’s jackpot has increased to $80 million.

On Wednesday, another lottery winner became an instant millionaire after they purchased five tickets for a $200,000 Cash Ball drawing, using the same numbers on each ticket.

Those tickets were sold at the Dairy Mart on East Reynolds Road.

Kentucky Lottery officials encourage everyone to check their tickets immediately and sign the back if they have a winner.

Winners have 180 days to claim their prize after the date of the drawing.
