Annual ‘Small Town America’ Festival enhances tourism in Mount Sterling
MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Mount Sterling community held it’s annual ‘Small Town America’ festival Saturday.
The festival is named after a song written by a local artist. The event has been held downtown since 2009.
This year’s festivities included music, a talent show, a 5K, a corn hole tournament, and more.
“It’s a great way to see our downtown, to visit our downtown merchants, do a little shopping, do a little eating, and discover mount sterling. Economic impact from our shopping and dining is important to our town and so tourism is important to our town and so events like these allow us to have another reason to invite visitors” said Tracey Pearce, Mount Sterling Tourism Director.
The festival also included a health fair where visitors could get tested and vaccinated for COVID-19.
