Annual Big Brown Truck Pull
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Dozens were flexing their muscles for Special Olympics Saturday afternoon in the annual Big Brown Truck Pull.
Teams competed to see who could pull a loaded UPS 18 wheeler 12 feet in the shortest time in the Texas Roadhouse parking lot in Beaumont Centre.Last year, organizers say the event pulled more than $28,000, all for Special Olympics Kentucky.
“We’ve got about 7,400 athletes out in Kentucky. Events like this provide most of our funding for our sports and other programs we operate throughout the state,” says Mark Buerger, Special Olympics Kentucky.
Prizes were given out for fundraising teams, contest winners, and best team shirts.
