Animal rescue team pulls cow from pond

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – Rescuers with the Kentucky Large Animal Rescue Team managed saved the life of a nursing cow after it fell into a pond along Hammond Road.

Battalion Chief Marty Terry, with the Anderson County Fire Protection District, says the animal was stuck in the water with her head barely above the water line.

It took rescuers over an hour to get the cow out of the water.

Rescuers say the animal appears to be fine, and has been left to rest under the farmer’s care.
