Anderson County road worker injured after fall from bridge

ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A fall from a bridge leaves an Anderson County highway worker seriously injured.

Anderson County Public Safety says the worker was part of a highway crew doing bridge construction on Wildcat Road.

The worker fell from the bridge and landed onto a riverbed 14 feet below around 10 a.m. Friday.

He was airlifted to the University of Kentucky hospital with serious injuries, according to Anderson County Public Safety.

The accident is being investigated.
