Anderson County restaurant worker test positive for hepatitis A

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – An Anderson County restaurant closed Tuesday after an employee tested positive for hepatitis A, according to health officials.

The Anderson County Health Department says is got a report of a worker at the Taco Bell at 1008 Bypass South in Lawrenceburg having hepatitis A on Friday.

The test on the employee came back positive on Tuesday, prompting the restaurant to temporarily shut down in order to clean and sanitize, according to the department.

Health officials say the risk of infection for anyone who ate at the restaurant is very low.

They say they do not expect any additional cases.
