American heroes honored at Bluegrass Airport

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)-73 American heroes were honored Saturday at The Bluegrass Airport.

World War II and Korean War vets in their 80s and 90s got a celebratory welcome home Saturday night at the airport after an honor flight.

About a thousand people packed the terminal to welcome them home.

They took off Saturday morning for a full day, all-expenses paid trip to visit the memorials honoring their service in Washington, D.C.
