Alleged Murderer Headed To Court

The man police accused of beating another man to death in Lexington Saturday is scheduled to appear in court for the first time today.

Police said they found Dale Irons, 73, severely wounded at a home on Cambridge Drive around 8 a.m. Saturday.

Irons was taken to UK Hospital and later died.

The coroner said he was assaulted and died from multiple blunt impact injuries.

Police arrested Claude Dalrymple, 42, and charged him with murder.

They said Dalrymple and Irons knew each other.
