Alleged Delivery Driver Robber Arrested
Police arrested a man they said held up two delivery drivers in Lexington.
Jamal Johnson, 19, is charged with two counts of robbery.
According to court documents, Johnson admitted to robbing a Dominoes Pizza delivery driver on May 24th.
Documents also said Johnson confessed to trying to rob a China Hut delivery driver last Monday.
That driver was making a delivery at some apartments on Devonport Driver when he said two men approached him. He said one had a gun.
Police said the deliveryman wrestled with the men, and a shot was fired into a breezeway where it hit a wall.
The driver then pulled out his own gun, and officers said the two men ran off.
Johnson is scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
