Alleged bomb making suspect due in court

WINCHESTER, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Clark County man accused of making a bomb threat is scheduled to appear in court Friday for his arraignment.

According to an arrest citation, 62-year-old James Beschorner was arrested Wednesday after allegedly making threatening statements at the Woodforest Bank inside the Winchester Walmart.

Police say Beschorner withdrew money from his account before allegedly telling a bank employee that he was making a bomb to take to the police department. Authorities say he also claimed to have gathered parts from trash cans and trips to Tennessee.

Beschorner has been charged with terroristic threatening. His court appearance is set to take place in Clark County.
