Man arrested after life-threatening assault on Lakeshore Drive in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A man has been arrested following a life-threatening assault Tuesday night on Lakeshore Drive.
According to a release from the Lexington Police Department, officers were sent around 7:08 p.m. to a residence in the 100 block of Lakeshore Drive for an unknown trouble call. When officers arrived, they found a male victim suffering from life-threatening injuries related to an assault. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police say the suspect, identified as 68-year-old Wilmore Brown, was arrested at the scene. Brown is charged with first-degree assault and is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Police in Lexington are continuing to investigate an assault that sent one person to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
According to Lexington police, the attack happened around 6 p.m. Tuesday on Lakeshore Drive near Richmond Road. Officers say the victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Police said there is no ongoing risk to the public at this time. No suspect information has been released.
