All in the family for Lafayette as Generals head to state
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The last FCPS team to make it to state was Bryan Station back in 1999.
The Defenders lost to Louisville Saint Xavier 34-31.
Lafayette hasn’t celebrated a trip to state since 1985…when the Generals lost to Louisville Trinity 28-7 in the 4A title game.
Saturday night, Lafayette takes on Louisville Male for the 6A crown at 6 ET at WKU in Bowling Green.
This trip, though, is more than one for just the football team.
It’s about the players’ families as well, and what it means to them.
Kennedy Hardman has more with the Generals in the video.
