All in the family
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kent Desormeaux has saddled 21 Kentucky Derby horses. He’s won 3 times and placed in the money a total of 8.
Twice, Kent’s been aboard for trainer and brother, Keith.
The duo finished 16th last year with Sonneteer and second in 2016 with Exaggerator.
Can long shot My Boy Jack bring roses to all in the family?
Bryan Kennedy has more from the backside at Churchill Downs in the video.
West Point Thoroughbreds bought into My Boy Jack a little late…like after the Lexington Stakes late.
Nonetheless, Terry Finley and company, who won with Always Dreaming last year, are excited about the opportunity to be in the mix again; an opportunity they didn’t think they’d have even leading up to the Lexington if you ask Finley.
Hear from the head man of WPT in the video.
*There have been 3 brother duos all-time to have a Kentucky Derby horse. The Desormeaux’s the only one to have multiple.
