Alcohol may have been factor in crash that killed Pulaski Co. juvenile, sheriff says

SOMERSET, Ky. (WTVQ) — A juvenile is dead and two more were injured after a crash Friday night in Pulaski County.

On Dec. 15 around 11 p.m., Pulaski County deputies were called to 15200 N. Hwy 1247 for a report of a crash.

According to the person calling for assistance, a car hit a utility pole and it appeared at least one person was injured and entrapped.

Deputies determined all people in the vehicle were juveniles.

Two of the juveniles were airlifted from the scene for injuries. The third juvenile was taken to a local hospital.

One juvenile was later pronounced dead at UK Hospital.

The name and age of the victim have not yet been released.

Although the investigation into the crash is ongoing, alcohol may have been a contributing factor, deputies said.
