LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Statistically speaking, Kentucky ranks in the bottom half of every major category in the SEC except for passing offense, field goals, red zone offense and fourth down conversions.

Make of that what you will.

The only stat the Cats care about right now is the fact they’re sitting third in the SEC East.

At 5-2, 2-2 in conference play, UK still holds a chance at winning the East…and certainly holds a chance at claiming second in the division.

It’s been heartbreaking to lose two games by a combined 8 points.

And while it’s nice to be competitive and be in games with chances to win on the final drive…it’s not satisfying anyone on the staff or the team to just be competitive.
