After Attorney Murdered, Kenneth Keith Keeps Representation In The Stanziano Family

The former Pastor accused in Danville of killing three people finds a new lawyer.  Kenneth Keith’s attorney, Mark Stanziano, was murdered in June.

Monday afternoon, Keith’s case picked up where it left off, because his new attorney is close to the case.

Keith knows his lawyer.  She has been on the case the whole time.  It’s Mark Stanziano’s wife, Bethany.

Everywhere Bethany Stanziano goes, she brings a piece of her late husband.  She wears Mark’s wedding ring around her neck.

"I think it’s part of what keeps me going, keeps him with me, it’s comforting.  It’s comforting," said Bethany Stanziano.

Stanziano’s surrounded by death.  She’s representing a man accused of killing three people, while mourning her husband’s murder.

"Very hard to watch him on videos from past trials, or hearings.  It’s hard to see, because it still seems so unreal that he’s gone," said Stanziano.

She wishes she could sometimes ask Mark for help.

She said she doesn’t know where she finds the strength to get through each day, but somehow she does.

"We’re all living in our own little hell right now, but we all have our demons, and you just have to overcome them.  Get up every day, put one foot in front of the other, and prepare for your day no matter what happens," said Stanziano.

Monday in court, a judge set another status hearing.  Keith will return in two months, with Stanziano.

"it’s either this, or I may as well lay down and die.  I have to keep going.  So, I don’t think I have a choice," said Stanziano.
