Accident in Floyd County kills motorcyclist

IVEL, Ky. (WTVQ) – One person is dead following an accident involving a motorcycle accident in Floyd County.

According to Kentucky State Police, a motorcyclist was traveling on US 23 in Ivel on Thursday around 6 p.m. when he fell off his bike.

Troopers say Dakota Hampton was taken to the Pikeville Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

State police are investigating.
