Accident Involving Ambulance Sends Man to Hospital

The Lexington police said an accident on Broadway that involved an ambulance put a driver in the hospital Friday afternoon.

They said the ambulance was not carrying any passengers on board.

The ambulance driver said he thought he had a green light at an intersection, but then a Monte Carlo turned left into Broadway and the ambulance hit it.

The driver of the Monte Carlo was taken to the hospital for neck and back pain.
