Accident In Scott County Shuts I-75 South Down

UPDATE: SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)-A big crash caused a traffic backup on I-75 South and the highway will be shut down for a little while longer.
The crash was around the 143 mile marker.
Georgetown Police say a semi-truck, going northbound, lost control and went over a hill in the median and t-boned another semi headed southbound.
Part of that second semi-truck ended up in a pond.
Both drivers ended up flown to UK Hospital with injuries described as life-threatening.
This closed the entire southbound side for a while, but one lane is now open, but traffic was detoured because of this.
Police say they expect to be there till around 1am Tuesday morning.
