Lane closures planned on East Fourth Street in Lexington through end of January

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Drivers in Lexington’s East End should plan for lane closures on East Fourth Street as crews begin sewer line work.

According to the City of Lexington, one lane of East Fourth Street will be closed between Chestnut Street and Ohio Street during daytime hours.

The closures will be in place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and are expected to continue through the end of January.

City officials say the work is part of a project to replace an aging sewer line that runs beneath East Fourth Street from Ohio Street to Race Street.

Drivers are also advised that parking will not be available in active construction areas during the project.
