A Rowan County man arrested on child sexual exploitation charges
ROWAN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Rowan County man has been arrested following an investigation into the distribution of child sexual abuse material.
According to Kentucky State Police, 35-year-old Bobby Joe Mocabee of Morehead was arrested after an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation determined he was allegedly sharing illegal images online.
Troopers say a search warrant was executed at a residence in Morehead on March 10, where electronic equipment was seized and will be analyzed at the KSP forensic laboratory.
Mocabee is charged with two counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance involving a child under 12, along with five counts involving minors over the age of 12.
Authorities say he is currently being held at the Rowan County Detention Center.
The investigation remains ongoing.
