A Medicaid Provider Cuts Ties With Kentucky
Two hundred people in Lexington could be out of a job when a Medicaid managed care provider cuts its ties with the state.
Kentucky Spirit Health Plan said it’s terminating its contract with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services in july of 2013.
The company said it will help the 140,000 clients it serves move to another provider.
It also said it will try to transfer some employees to other offices.
The state has three other medicaid contractors.
