LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Head Coach Kenny Brooks is beginning his time in Lexington with a 2-0 record after Kentucky beat Northern Kentucky 70-41 at home on Thursday.

The Wildcats were led by Clara Silva’s 18 points, Amelia Hassett’s 16 rebounds and eight assists from Georgia Amoore and Clara Strack.

Strack registered a double-double and four Wildcats scored in double figures.

At halftime, Kentucky led the Norse 36-23 and allowed 18 points from their opponents in the third and fourth quarters.

UK is back in action on Tuesday versus Wofford at home.
