Man dies from injuries suffered in fire

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 60-year old man has died from injuries suffered in a house fire on Monday in Franklin County.

The Frankfort State Journal reports that the fire was in a home off of Birch Drive in the Willowcrest neighborhood of Franklin County.

The newspaper reports the victim, whose name wasn’t released, was first taken to the hospital in Frankfort and later transferred to UK Hospital in Lexington, where he died.

According to the report, the Franklin County sheriff says preliminarily, it appeared the man was bedridden and on oxygen.
