Montgomery Advances In Toyota Classic
GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Omar Prewitt had 28 points and 15 rebounds to help lead Montgomery County past Dixie Heights 67-52 in the Toyota Classic at Scott County Wednesday night.
The Indians trailed 33-29 at the half and were down six with 1:37 left in the third quarter before going on a 16-3 run – eight of those points coming from Bryan Wallace, who finished with 14.
Tyler Jones contributed seven points, seven rebounds and eight assists.
Host Scott County lost to Collins 61-54 in the other boys’ game at the Toyota Classic Wednesday.
The Scott County girls beat Bourbon County 84-76 behind 29 points from Laura Szorenyi and double-doubles from Tereka Guyn and Laura Boehm. Guyn had 24 points, 15 rebounds, three blocked shots and three steals. Boehm had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

7:00 PM – Covington Catholic vs. Elizabethtown boys
