Lexington man accused of sexually abusing child

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington man is charged with sexually abusing a young girl.

Court documents say Efrain Rojas abused the girl twice when she was under the age of 12.

Documents say in the first incident, the girl’s parents went for a walk and the child was in the home with Rojas and her sister. The victim and her sister got into a fight and documents say Rojas called the victim into a bedroom. Documents say once she was in the room, Rojas began touching her inappropriately. Her parents returned and the mother walked in, found the child and Rojas with their pants off, and screamed for the father, according to documents. The parents confronted him, but the police were never called. Police say the child was 4-5 years old at the time.

Documents say, on the second occasion, the child was 10-11 years old and Rojas showed up at the home unannounced while her parents were away. The police report says he pushed her down onto the couch and began groping her. The child freed herself and ran into a bedroom. Documents say Rojas left the house.

He was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse.
