Knox Co. Sheriff: Man in argument fires gun at group of people
BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Knox Co. man is behind bars after deputies say he fired a gun toward several people during an argument.
According to the Sheriff, deputies received a complaint at 11:30 p.m. on July 4th about a fight going on at a home on Hutton Road off KY 6. When they arrived, deputies say they saw 51-year-old Paul Disney standing in front of the home and yelling.
Deputies say after investigating and interviewing witnesses, they discovered that Disney had gotten into an argument, struck a man with a handgun, and then fired shots toward the man and four other people.
Disney was charged with five counts of wanton endangerment, assault, and criminal trespassing.
He was taken to the Knox Co. Detention Center.
