LFD: Lightning believed to be cause of house fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Fire investigators believe lightning is the cause of a house fire on Richmond Road in Lexington Thursday evening. Investigators say a person at home heard a noise in the attic around 6:30 p.m. and when they went up to check things out, there was a fire in the attic.

No one was hurt, according to the Lexington Fire Department.

Firefighters pulled the electric meter off the home, so the occupants most likely wouldn’t be staying there tonight, according to investigators.
