Georgetown Looks At Creating Green Space Committee

Some people in Georgetown want a ‘buffer’ between their city and Lexington.

The Georgetown News-Graphic says the Planning Commission wants seven to nine members for a Green Space Committee.

The goal is to keep the horse farms and tobacco fields along Highway 25 between Lexington and Georgetown.

The County-Judge Executive says it’s hard to tell where Lexington ends and Nicholasville begins and adds that he doesn’t want the same thing in Georgetown.
