Lightning strikes Jessamine Co. Courthouse

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – The crack of the gavel was replaced by the more ominous crack of lightning at the Jessamine Co. Courthouse Wednesday morning.

The Nicholasville Fire Department says they received a call about the strike and went to investigate.  The bolt didn’t cause any fires at the building, though computer systems went down.

Maintenance crews are bringing the courthouse back online.
