Two earthquakes detected overnight in eastern Kentucky
No damage was reported in either incident
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two earthquakes were detected overnight in eastern Kentucky.
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) says there was a 2.3 magnitude earthquake centered about ten miles northeast of Jackson that hit around 3:30 a.m.
The USGS says just before 5:30 a.m., there was a 2.6 magnitude earthquake with an epicenter just north of Pikeville.
There were no reports of damage in either earthquake, according to USGS.
