Man accused of kidnapping mentally disabled child

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- State police in Knox County accuse a man of kidnapping an 11-year-old girl. They say the victim is mentally handicapped and unable to communicate.

State police say 50-year-old Donald Rice of Aretmus coerced the child into his vehicle, then drove to a nearby location.

Investigators say when the girl’s guardian found them, Rice then drove back to the child’s home and let her out.

Rice is now accused of kidnapping a minor.
