2 sent to hospital after wreck on Winchester Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Winchester Road has reopened after a wreck on Tuesday morning sent two people to the hospital and shut down the road for hours.

According to Lexington Police, the collision happened around 7:30 a.m. just past the intersection of Winchester Road and Man O’ War Boulevard.  Officers say a Ford pickup was headed east on Winchester Road, when the trailer it was pulling started to wobble.  Police say the driver attempted to slow down, but the trailer pushed the truck forward and into the westbound lane of Winchester, where it hit a GMC Envoy.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital, one of them in critical condition.
