Police search for suspect after Lexington shooting
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man was critically injured following a shooting in Lexington Thursday morning.
Police responded to the 300-block of East Maxwell Street just before 3 a.m. and found a 27-year-old man lying on the sidewalk.
He was suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He as taken to the University of Kentucky hospital in critical condition.
Police say a woman was walking with the victim when he was shot. She was not injured during the shooting. Police say they were approached by what the witness believes to be a person they did not know.
Police are looking for a male suspect who fled on food down Linden Walk.
Investigators believe there were other people in the area that may have seen or heard something.
