A glimpse of the future

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Local boxing star Samantha Kinchen will be in Rio this August as part of the Athletes in Action organization.

Kinchen will be a chaplain, not a competitor, this time around.

While she still has hopes of reaching the 2020 games in the ring, perhaps this is a glimpse of what life with boxing will be like after being in the ring for years?

Because, after all, it is a draining endeavor to be an elite athlete.
