Sheriff: Somerset shooting suspect turns himself in

SOMERSET, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office says a man wanted in a Somerset shooting is now in custody.

Authorities had been looking for 47-year-old DeWayne Peters. Deputies say the victim, 37-year-old Harlan Richardson, was shot in Peters’ home Sunday night on Ringgold Road. The sheriff’s office says Peters left the scene in a car that was later found in a parking lot.

Deputies say Richardson, who also lives on Ringgold Road,  was airlifted to UK Hospital in Lexington after the shooting.

No word on his condition.
