TRAFFIC ALERT: Closures adjusted for New Circle Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says that temporary lane closures are scheduled for New Circle Road/KY 4 in Fayette County. The closures are necessary for preventative maintenance work to be performed for the underside of the KY 922/Newtown Pike Bridge.

The closures are scheduled as follows:

Monday, May 23 – 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

NOTE: There will be no closures on Tuesday, May 24, or Thursday, May 26, as originally scheduled.

New Circle Road/KY 4 at mile point 9.318:

• the left/fast lane of the inner and outer loops under the bridge will be closed during the 3 day period
• only one direction will be closed at a time
• work will begin on the inner loop and then progress to the outer loop

All work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
