Dog Thwarts Home Intruder

 It appears a barking dog thwarted one home intruder’s plans.
 Police said a woman awoke to her dog barking downstairs.
 When she went down to investigate, she told police that’s when she saw a man with a flashlight walking around her kitchen.
 She told police the man took off after she spotted him.
 Police said the man used a garage door opener that was in the family’s car to open the garage and come into the house.
 The woman said the suspect got away with some pocket change.
