UPDATE: Magoffin Co. Schools employees terminated after arrest

SALYERSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two employees of the Magoffin Co. School system have been terminated after being found in a home drinking with minors, according to the school superintendent.

Troopers say an anonymous tip led them to a home in Salyersville in the early morning hours of Thursday.

When officers got there, they discovered the minors drinking in the company of 41-year-old Dearl Peters (above, left,) 40-year-old Wendell King (above, center,) and 22-year-old Leaha Vanhoose (above, right.)  Peters and King are both employed by Magoffin Co. Schools system, according to the school system’s website.

The three adults were charged with unlawful transaction with a minor, and taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
