Officials: Fayette County students were injured after a school bus accident.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Three Fayette Co8unty school students were taken for medical treatment by their parents after the school bus on which they were riding and an SUV collided
Thursday morning.
According to Lexington Police, the accident was reported at 8:37 a.m. on Hays Boulevard at Stuart Hall Boulevard near Edythe Jones Hayes Middle School. Police said the Subaru Forester SUV was turning from Stuart Hall onto Hays when the two collided.
The woman driver of the SUV was not injured. The bus was carrying 30 students and of those, six reported minor injuries and three of those were taken by their parents for medical treatment, police said. The rest of the students were taken to their school.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
