Nothing was found after Firefighters evacuated UK building for odor

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Fire Department evacuated the Plant Science Building on UK’s campus Monday afternoon because of an unfamiliar odor.

The building on Veterans Drive was evacuated so the crews could investigate a smell. Just before 6:30 p.m. the fire department said nothing was found and it was safe to re-enter the building.

The fire department said there were no reports of illness.
