For 2nd time, firefighters tackle suspicious fire in Mount Vernon

MT. VERNON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Brodhead Fire Department went to a structure fire on Williams Street and West Main Street in Mount Vernon Thursday morning, and they say it’s the second time this week that this particular home has burned.

Firefighters say flames broke out just before 5:30 a.m. at the home.  Another fire happened at the same location on May 3, and broke out about 7:30 a.m.  Firefighters are calling both fires suspicious.

No injuries were reported at either fire.
