AG Beshear: KY Medicaid program receives $4.8M in settlement

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) — Attorney General Andy Beshear announced Kentucky’s Medicaid program will receive nearly $4.8 million from a multistate settlement.

Beshear said Wyeth sold one of their antacids to hospitals at a deeply discounted price, but “concealed” this discounted rate in the reports given to the federal government. As a result, they underpaid rebates owed to Kentucky Medicaid. The settlement is resolving this allegation.
