UPDATE: Police release identity of man in tip jar theft
LEXINGTON, KY. (WTVQ) – Two veterans are credited with stopping an early-morning robbery.
Employees at Mac’s Karaoke Bar in Lexington tackled a man who they say was taking money from the DJ’s tip jar.
It happened at around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
They say when the man, 41-year-old Dorian Franklin Webb, was confronted, he reached for a gun in his pocket and that’s when they punched him.
They say Webb then tried to get his gun again and that’s when additional people jumped on him.
Police say Webb also had a knife.
They say there was only about $10 in the tip jar.
