$8M senior living community breaks ground in Richmond
RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Dominion Senior Living leadership team gathered at the site of its new Richmond assisted living and memory care community on Meridian Way for a ceremonial groundbreaking on Tuesday.
The $8-million senior living community will provide care for up to 84 residents across 50,000 square feet.
The property used to be home to the Carriage House Bed and Breakfast. Before it was removed, Dominion Senior Living donated the structure to be used through Habitat for Humanity, which repurposed as much of the house as possible for future projects, and the Richmond Fire Department, which used the home for firefighter training.
Residents will be able to enjoy nearby shopping, doctors’ offices and banks.
The center is expected to open in early 2017.
