Home destroyed in Lincoln Co. fire
WAYNESBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – A home was destroyed in a Lincoln Co. fire Monday morning, but no occupants were injured.
According to Don Leach, the father of a man living in the home, his son left the house on Ed Padgett Road around 9:00 p.m.
When he returned at 6:00 a.m., Leach says his son’s house was already completely engulfed, with firefighters only able to keep the fire from spreading.
Leach says his son was concerned that the dog wouldn’t be able to escape the flames, but learned that the animal was already out of the house when firefighters arrived.
The two people living in the home are being assisted by the Red Cross in finding a place to stay for now.
ABC 36 has reached out to firefighters for additional details, which we will release as they become available.
